Designed stranded tanker sequence and Mother Ship interior.

"NIGHT SKIES" ("E.T.") 
Picked by Steven Spielberg to direct this sequel to

"CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND".
Originated the story.  My choice for screenplay writer
was John Sayles.
Projections of the effects budget proved too high for Spielberg (who was producing).

After a total rewrite NIGHT SKIES was cancelled. 
Rewrite became Spielberg's "E.T."

"CONAN THE BARBARIAN"
Designed Conan's world. 
Also, Uncredited director of additional second unit photography.

"HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY" 
Designer for a U.S. ABC series.
Met and worked with Douglas Adams.

The projected budget for the pilot was considered too high and the project was Canceled.

"THE LAST STARFIGHTER"
